Pakistan has expressed disapproval of the Ram Temple's dedication in Ayodhya. The consecration ceremony is "indicative of India's growing majoritarianism," according to a statement from the foreign office of the nation. Also, the government asserted that a growing number of mosques, like as the Shahi Eidgah Mosque in Mathura and the Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi, were threatened with sacrilege and destruction.
Thousands of residents and dignitaries attended the consecration event today, which was led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Today, a number of prominent figures from politics, entertainment, and sports traveled to Ayodhya to participate in the installation of Lord Ram's idol in the recently built temple. In 2019, the Indian Supreme Court declared that there was proof of a Hindu temple's presence at the site of the Babri mosque. It cleared the way for the temple to be built on the contentious location. It also mandated that the government set aside a different piece of property so that a large mosque could be built.
Pakistan claimed that the ideology of "the rising tide of Hindutva" in India would endanger regional harmony. Furthermore, it declared that the "growing Islamophobia" was something that the world community needed to take notice of. "The United Nations and other relevant international organizations should play their part in saving the Islamic heritage sites in India from extremist groups and ensuring the protection of the religious and cultural rights of the minorities in India," stated the statement.
A Hindu house of worship was found to exist at the site of the dispute, the Supreme Court of India stated in its 2019 ruling. The construction of the temple on the contested site was ordered by the authorities to be permitted. In order for the Muslim side to build a mosque, it also instructed the government to give them a different plot of land. Additionally, Yogi Adityanath stated that the temple was constructed in the desired location.
Words cannot describe some feelings I have in my heart. Everyone is joyful and emotionally invested. Every town and city in the nation has transformed into Ayodhya at this momentous occasion, and all roads appear to go to the Ram Janmabhoomi," the UP CM stated.
