In advance of the eagerly awaited Ram temple consecration ceremony, the aviation infrastructure of the riverfront U.P. town expanded on Thursday with the introduction of the first tri-weekly aircraft between Ahmedabad and Ayodhya. Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of Civil Aviation Jyotiraditya Scindia, and other high-ranking officials virtually flagged off the airplane.
The initial flight's boarding permit was personally given to Chief Minister Adityanath during the much anticipated ceremonial opening. During his remarks, the chief minister stated that on January 22, about 100 chartered aircraft transporting guests to the "pran pratishtha" celebration are anticipated to land at the Ayodhya airport. A lot of plane landings, he said, will also aid in evaluating the newly constructed airport's potential.
With reference to the noteworthy advancements in the aviation sector in Uttar Pradesh, Scindia stated, "On December 30, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi officially opened the Ayodhya Airport and Railway Station. That day, we launched the inaugural flight, operated by IndiGo and Air India Express, between Ayodhya and Delhi.
Scindia went on to highlight the expansion of the state's aviation industry, saying that in 2014 there were just six airports in Uttar Pradesh; today, the state has ten airports, including Ayodhya airport. The UP will have five more airports by the following year. Inaugurating in the upcoming month will be one airport each in Azamgarh, Aligarh, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Chitrakoot. By the end of this year, Jewar will also have an international airport operational. On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya.
