A local named Taranum, who was there for the New Year's festivities, reported that the Tourism Department is hosting a musical event as part of the festivities. The sight of festivities taking place near Srinagar's Clock Tower area startled the visitors who were visiting the Kashmir Valley as well. Athar Aamir Khan, the CEO of Srinagar Smart City Ltd. and Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, characterized the event as unprecedented in the city's history.
Amid dance performances and laser shows, the Gulmarg town in the Baramulla area of Jammu and Kashmir also hosted a New Year's Eve celebration. Concurrently, numerous other cities throughout the nation ushered in the new year with opulent festivities and happiness.
