In the midst of the celebrations in Ayodhya and the excitement surrounding the grand Ram Temple's consecration on January 22 of next year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off two Amrit Bharat and six Vande Bharat Express trains from the renovated Ayodhya Dham Railway Station on Saturday. A brand-new class of extremely quick passenger trains called Amrit Bharat has the LHB push-pull function. Coaches on these trains lack air conditioning, though.
The Amrit Bharat train features locomotion for improved acceleration at both ends. For example, it has better luggage racks, LED lighting, CCTV, public information systems, well-designed chairs, and mobile charging stations with holders optimized for smartphones.
The following Vande Bharat Express trains were flagged off: the Jalna-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express; the Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Vande Bharat Express; the Mangalore-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express; the Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express; the Coimbatore-Bangalore Cantt Vande Bharat Express; and the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express.
In addition, the PM committed three railway projects totaling ₹2,300 crore to the country in order to improve the train network in the area. The projects include the third line between Rooma Chakeri and Chanderi, the Jaunpur-Tulsi Nagar, Akbarpur-Ayodhya, Sohawal-Patranga, and Safdarganj-Rasauli parts of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project, and the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section's doubling and electrification project.
