At five in the morning on Wednesday, the Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train trial runs commenced. After traveling 315 kilometers in more than five hours, the eight-coach train left Coimbatore at five in the morning and arrived at Bengaluru Cantonment station at roughly ten-forty-five. This is scheduled to be Karnataka's fourth Vande Bharat train. On December 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start off the Coimbatore-Bengaluru Vande Bharat train together with five other Vande Bharat trains. In order to connect Mangalore and Madgaon (Goa), Karnataka will have its fifth Vande Bharat train. Mumbai-Jalna, New Delhi-SMVD Katra, Ayodhya-Anand Vihar, and New Delhi-Amritsar are the other routes. Meanwhile, the new Vande Bharat trains will go into service for business on December 31. On December 29, it is anticipated that ticket prices would be announced.
The demand from Karnataka rail users to run additional Vande Bharat trains to places like Tirupathi, Pondicherry, Madurai, and Ernakulam is also growing. According to sources within South Western Railways, the Railway Board is required to notify the routes based on the availability of rakes and commercial justification. With stops at Omalur (7:40 am), Dharmapuri (8:30 am), Hosur (10:05 am), and Bengaluru Cantonment around 11:30 am, the CBE-BNC VB train would leave Coimbatore at 5 am, according to the itinerary released by South Western Railway. Notably, the newly renovated Cantonment station in Bengaluru, which is anticipated to be operational by 2025, will be the first train to operate from the new Vande Bharat train.
