Tuesday marked the death of the 22-year-old engineering student who had been hurt on Monday night, maybe as a result of an accident he had while pursuing the convoy of Kannada actor Yash, according to police. The police say that the incident happened late on Monday at Mulgund Naka, close to Gadag. Nikhil Gowda's two-wheeler collided head-on with a police car as it was pursuing Yash's convoy.
As per the clarification provided by Gadag Superintendent of Police BS Nemagoudar, the two-wheeler that Gowda was riding on did not belong to the actor's bodyguard team, despite the earlier reports claiming otherwise. Agadi Engineering College in Laxmeshwar was home to Gowda, an engineering student in his last year who was a resident of Binkadakatti hamlet in Gadag taluk. Being the first of two children in his family, he was raised by doctors.
The event happened the day after three guys in Gadag, who were preparing a cutout to celebrate Yash's birthday, were electrocuted. Three people from Suranagi village—Mural Naduvinamani (20), Hanumantha Harijan (24), and Naveen Gaaji (20)—were seriously injured in the tragedy, while three more people lost their lives.
The Kannada celebrity met with the media following his encounter and revealed that he was now afraid of his birthday because of these kinds of things. "The finest thing you can do for me is to wish me pure happiness from wherever you are. I fear my birthday because of tragic situations like these. You don't display fandom like this," he added.
“Please don’t show your love like this. I want to request you all. Don’t hang banners, don’t do bike chases, and take dangerous selfies; my intention is for all of my audience and fans to grow in life as I do. If you are a true fan of mine, then do your work diligently, dedicate your life to yourself, and be happy and successful. You are the ones who mean everything to your families, you should aim to make them proud,” he added.
