Featuring Rowan Atkinson's voice, Season 4 will consist of 52 11-minute episodes, making the total amount of episodes across all series 182 11-minute episodes. Beginning in 2025—the year that commemorates the 35th anniversary of the first live-action episode—it will be broadcast on Cartoonito and HBO Max across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa on Warner Bros. Discovery's kids channels and streaming services in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and on ITVX Kids in the UK and Ireland.
The animated comedy centers on the shenanigans of Mr. Bean and Teddy as they set off on various adventures and get into lots of trouble along the way. The series' chief writers are Andrew Barnett Jones and Ciaran Murtagh, with producer Arnold Widdowson and director Dave Osborne.
The first live-action Mr. Bean, which Atkinson and Richard Curtis co-created, debuted in 1990 and became a British legend. The animated series debuted in 2002 and is narrated by Atkinson. The series has been continuously distributed for more than 30 years, having been aired in 195 nations.
Atkinson expressed excitement for the upcoming fourth season, saying, "I have always loved this version of the Mr. Bean character and the unique liberties he has in animated form. I don't have to bear the repercussions myself when we send him into a tin mine or into space. The creative process of animation never ceases to amaze me, and I can't wait to dive right into the next series."
The cartoon depicts Teddy and Mr. Bean's shenanigans as they go on several adventures and get into lots of trouble along the way. Executive producer and managing director Tom Beattie oversees Tiger Aspect Kids & Family's production. The series will be directed by Dave Osborne, produced by Arnold Widdowson, and written by Andrew Barnett Jones and Ciaran Murtagh.
