On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya Airport will be opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The renowned poet Maharishi Valmiki is the subject of the new airport in Ayodhya. PM Modi decided to construct contemporary airports and train stations, according to Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. It is said that Maharishi Valmiki wrote the epic Ramayana. The airport's terminal building would be 6500 square meters in size and prepared to handle roughly 10 lakh passengers a year.
The Ayodhya Airport terminal building is outfitted with a range of sustainable features, including LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, insulated roofing, water treatment and sewage treatment plants, solar power plants, and much more. These features have been included to meet GRIHA 5-star ratings. An enlarged runway at the Ayodhya airport is appropriate for operations with A-321/B-737 type aircraft. The first flight from Delhi Airport to Ayodhya Airport is probably going to be operated by IndiGo, and the commercial services are expected to start on January 6.
In addition to the airport in Ayodhya, PM Modi will also lay the cornerstone for a greenfield township that will be built in the city at a cost of over ₹2180 crore. Along with launching six new Vande Bharat trains, PM Modi will also inaugurate two new Amrit Bharat trains: the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminus (Bengaluru) Amrit Bharat Express.
