All poised for a major transformation, Ayodhya now has a new Ram temple. There's a lot going on in the temple town along the Sarayu River. It was the venue for the gathering of the most prominent and powerful people in India for the ancient temple's "pran pratishtha," or consecration. The great opening of the Ram temple on January 22nd will go down in history as a day that profoundly altered the path that the town and its residents took. Businesses would benefit from the anticipated surge in tourism that the mandir is intended to bring about.
Ayodhya is also a new investment destination in addition to that. Everyone is focused on the town in eastern Uttar Pradesh, including corporations, real estate developers, and hotel owners. More jobs for residents and increased money for the state result from this. For the Ram temple, Ayodhya has been preparing. Now that the celebs have all left, the temple village is crowded with regular tourists.
The groundwork for projects valued at Rs 11,100 crore was laid in December, and development was underway. The 6,500 square meter new airport terminal in the temple town can accommodate one million passengers annually. With a cost of Rs 240 crore, the Ayodhya Dham railway station was refurbished and now features air-conditioned retirement apartments, staff lodging rooms, dormitories, and more.
On 1,200 acres in Ayodhya, a greenfield town valued at Rs 2,180 crore would also be constructed. Plots designated for dharamshalas, ashrams, mutts, and commercial endeavors will all be present. The initiative was started by the Uttar Pradesh government to ease traffic in advance of the spike in tourists. Along with renovated roads, power and water projects, and highway connections are all part of the growing infrastructure. During the Global Investors Summit for Ayodhya tourism, 102 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth around Rs 18,000 crore were inked, according to Gaurav Dayal, the divisional commissioner of Ayodhya. A number of entrepreneurs have shown a strong desire to invest in Ayodhya's tourism industry to the district and government authorities.
According to an Economic Times study, Ayodhya saw 20,000 job creation in the hospitality, travel, and tourism sectors prior to the Ram mandir opening. It further stated that if hotels and real estate projects are constructed, there would be a rise in the number of tourists and more job possibilities. Yeshab Giri, chief commercial officer of Randstad India, estimated that between 20,000 and 25,000 new employment will be created, both temporary and permanent. This number is probably going to increase yearly. Furthermore, not just Ayodhya will gain. It is even anticipated that nearby cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur will gain.
