The contentious film Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and starring Ranbir Kapoor, had a phenomenal theatrical run that brought in over Rs 915 crore globally. On January 26, the film went live on Netflix, igniting new discussions about the film.
Ranbir himself has provided some intriguing information about the film, while fans impatiently await its sequel, dubbed Animal Park. The stand-up comedian and actor Anubhav Singh Bassi disclosed that many people were not entirely aware of the tale of Animal during its creation during an interview with the actor for Netflix India.
"Bobby (Deol) gentleman was unaware of the narrative. Anil Kapoor, sir, was aware of the father-son tale. However, Sandeep was quite coy about many aspects of his work. Ranbir stated, "He (Vanga) has one or two scenarios ready for Animal Park that he told me about, and they are really intriguing. "Now that phase one has been successful, he has the bravery and confidence to go even more, farther, and more intricately. "He's capable of anything," he said.
One of the highest-grossing movies of 2023 was Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Conversations around toxic masculinity, misogyny, and violence were triggered by the movie, which starred Bobby Deol, Triptii Dimri, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor. Animal Park, the popular movie, is getting a sequel, and the producers have promised a bloodier and more violent movie. The forthcoming movie is expected to begin production in 2025.
According to a Vanga-affiliated source, writing on Animal Park will begin in February. The movie will center on Ranbir's portrayal of Rannvijay and his doppelgänger Aziz. The bond between Geetanjali, played by Rashmika, and his kid as well as Rannvijay will also be seen. For the time being, Vanga and Prabhas will be filming his cop thriller Spirit over the next several months, while he and his writing team will also be working on the Animal Park script.
Vanga recently said that the sequel is "bigger and crazier." Ranbir has already said that Vanga has a few of really spectacular moments ready. He also mentioned that, following Animal's popularity, Vanga had the guts and conviction to take the sequel in a darker, more nuanced direction.
