On Monday, the entire nation of India celebrated the opening of the historic Ram temple in Ayodhya with firecrackers, posters, saffron flags, diyas, and Lord Ram chanting, all in the spirit of Diwali. While a number of people celebrated "Deepotsav" at home, including lawmakers and union ministers, some people also went outside to light special lights and set off firecrackers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath, along with thousands of other dignitaries, attended the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple on Monday afternoon. To celebrate the opening of the Ram temple, hundreds of special lights were placed on Monday evening at the Swaminarayan Gurukul Vishwavidya Pratisthanam (SGVP) Gurukul in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In the vicinity of the institute, numerous firecrackers were also set off. In Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple ignited the "Ram Jyoti" after many people offered tributes. Some kids can also be seen costumed like Lord Ram in a PTI video. Many celebrated "Deepotsav" to commemorate the opening of the Ram Mandir in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. A sizable gathering of people can be seen lighting diyas on a street in a video that the news agency ANI posted. In the Kota neighborhood of Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, many people lit clay lamps in observance of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony held at the Ayodhya Ram temple. The "pran pratishtha" ritual at the Ram temple was followed by the lighting of oil lights at the ISKCON temple in Bengaluru.
As state guests, notable people attended the function, like as sports legend Sachin Tendulkar, business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The Uttar Pradesh government has greatly increased security in Ayodhya by deploying cutting-edge technology like as CCTV cameras, night vision equipment, and surveillance drones. Vigilant surveillance is ensured across the city via the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS), which is integrated with 1500 public CCTV cameras. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are deployed as part of the execution of a comprehensive security strategy.
