Ganesh Pujan and Varun Pujan will take place on January 18 as part of the ceremonies being carried out in the lead-up to the January 22 consecration event at Ayodhya Ram Temple, according to a priest quoted by PTI. There are only a few days left for the temple's "Pran Pratistha" ceremony. A 'Kalash Pujan' was conducted earlier in the day, and later on Wednesday night, the idol of Ram Lalla was taken into the temple's sanctum sanctorum. According to Champat Rai, general secretary of the Ram Temple Trust, the rites began on Tuesday and will last until January 21.
A 'Vastu Puja' will be held outside the sanctum sanctorum on the temple grounds, the priest announced, and 121 priests would be given puja responsibilities. On January 22, the Ram Temple 'Pran Pratishtha' is scheduled to start at 12.20 pm and conclude at 1 pm. The minimal essential rites required for the 'Pran Pratishtha' of the idol of Ram Lalla will be performed on the day of consecration.
Over 7,000 people have been invited, including politicians, celebrities, and saints including Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, and Gautam Adani. Additionally, 4,000 seers from all over the nation have been invited. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to be the chief guest. Anti-terrorist squad commandos from Uttar Pradesh have been sent to Ayodhya in advance of the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha event on January 22 in order to increase security at the Lata Mangeshkar Chowk.
The general public can get a "darshan" of the Ram temple starting on January 23, according to Champat Rai, general secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. "The 'Pran Prathishtha' is expected to conclude by 1 pm. PM Modi and others present on the occasion will express their thoughts after the ceremony. On January 20 and 21, darshan will remain closed to the public," he said.
Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh told PTI that the decision has been taken in view of the "overwhelming" public sentiments. "There was a huge public demand across the country regarding this. Decision on half-day closure of central government offices on January 22 has been taken in view of overwhelming public sentiments," he said.
