A 17-year-old boy was brutally stabbed several times and bludgeoned to death with stones by six of his friends in Delhi on Thursday, police said. The victim’s body was found at a park in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Friday morning.
According to a report, police nabbed three juveniles involved in the murder. One of the accused had called the boy, identified as Vivek for drinks and took him to Satpula Park after he got drunk. Five others were already waiting for him at the park and attacked him with knives and bricks.
The boy’s family, on the other hand, said he lied while leaving the house on Thursday. He told them he was going to meet his father, but when he did not return, they tried calling his phone several times only to find it switched off.
The murder plot had been orchestrated by one of them who had been beaten by Vivek a few months ago. The accused revealed that they called Vivek to the park for drinks
After drinking, he was stabbed with a knife and then bludgeoned with stones. Police also recovered the murder weapons, two knives with blood stains.
This tragic tale of betrayal and revenge highlights the dangers of peer pressure and the importance of seeking help when in trouble. It is a reminder that we must be vigilant and aware of our surroundings, and that we must never take our safety for granted. May Vivek’s soul rest in peace.
