In a heart-wrenching event in Aurangabad district, four young girls, aged between 18 to 20 years, found themselves in a critical condition after consuming poisonous substances on Sunday evening. Shockingly, two of them tragically lost their lives, while the other two are fighting for survival in a hospital in Gaya. The distressing incident began when two sisters ingested the poisonous substance, prompting their friends to follow suit, according to police reports.
"The two sisters consumed poisonous substances at home due to distress over a particular issue. Subsequently, upon learning of their condition, their two friends also consumed the same substances," the police confirmed.
As the condition of all four girls worsened, their concerned family members rushed them to Aurangabad Sadar Hospital. However, due to the severity of their condition, they were swiftly referred to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital (ANMMCH) located in Gaya, hoping for advanced medical care.
Tragically, one of the sisters passed away en route to ANMMCH on Sunday, while one of their friends succumbed to the poisoning at the same hospital on Monday.
Mohd Amanullah Khan, the sub-divisional police officer of Aurangabad, mentioned that investigations are ongoing, with the family members of the girls being questioned. "We are eagerly waiting for the recovery of the girls to understand the circumstances that led to their actions. Presently, they are not in a condition to provide any statement," Khan added.
The devastating incident has shaken the local community, raising questions and concerns about the circumstances that prompted these young girls to take such extreme measures. As the investigation continues, authorities and the community eagerly await the recovery of the two survivors in the hope of unraveling the underlying reasons behind this tragic event.
