The ceremonial consecration of Lord Ram's idol in Ayodhya is anticipated to be a glittering event, drawing luminaries from various fields. Over 7,000 invitations have been dispatched by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, encompassing 3,000 VVIPs, 4,000 saints, representatives from 50 countries, and the families of the committed 'Kar Sevaks' involved in the Ram temple movement.
This event aims for inclusivity, with invites extended across sectors - Bollywood, sports, corporate, sciences, judiciary, media, politics, and spiritual leaders. Scheduled for January 22 next year, the ceremony seeks the attendance of eminent poets, musicians, and recipients of prestigious awards like Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, presenting a diverse gathering.
Among the esteemed invitees are Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, renowned Bollywood figures Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Kangana Ranaut, cricket icons Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, yoga guru Ramdev, and prominent industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, and Gautam Adani. Actors Arun Govil and Dipika Chikhlia, known for their portrayal of Lord Ram and Sita in the popular TV serial 'Ramayan,' have also been included in the guest list.
Champat Rai, the trust's general secretary, has confirmed international representation from around 50 nations, emphasizing the global significance of this event. In a gesture of respect, families of Kar Sewaks, who lost their lives during the Ram temple movement, have also been invited to be part of this significant ceremony.
A distinguished team of 21 pandits from Varanasi, skilled in the four Vedas, will grace the ceremony. Led by Pt Laxmikant Dixit, the team includes his sons Pt Jaikrishna Dixit and Sunil Dixit, along with 18 other accomplished Vedic scholars, adding a spiritual essence to the event.
Trust officials have confirmed the final stages of crafting the idol to be placed in the Ram temple's sanctum sanctorum. Among the meticulously designed idols, the most exquisite rendition will occupy the sanctum sanctorum on the auspicious day of January 22.
