Panic engulfed Bengaluru when 48 private schools received ominous bomb threats via email, prompting immediate action from school authorities and law enforcement. As the schools swiftly alerted the police, parents hurried to collect their children, while bomb disposal squads were deployed to thoroughly search the premises, aiming to eliminate any potential threats.
Amidst the chaos, students and staff were safely evacuated from the affected schools. According to a senior police official, the threatening emails claimed explosives had been planted within the school grounds. However, as of now, no bombs or suspicious items have been discovered by the security teams conducting meticulous searches.
The police, while investigating the threats, are leaning towards the possibility of the emails being a hoax. "At first glance, it appears to be a hoax message. We are actively pursuing this and launching a thorough investigation," stated the official.
