Went to Jaipur a few years ago. Since the journey was not pre-planned but was sudden, no hotel was booked. Sitting at the railway station, I started booking a hotel on my mobile for suitable hotel to stay at its good location. The whole family was also with me. Then several auto drivers came there and started making noise. They were asking too much fare. We said that we will be able to leave only if the hotel is booked first. Just what then, now many auto drivers have come. Ready to go at half fare. We also asked how far away the hotel was and the answer we got was that it was far away. The auto driver said, leave it, we will take you along and get you selected a hotel. You pay the fare later. There was so much hustle that we finally got upset and left our luggage on two autos. After about twenty minutes, they stopped at a hotel which was very useless. Then saw one or two more hotels. I didn't like any of them but I was so tired that I finalized one of the better ones. The auto drivers started moving after collecting their fare. It was a two-day program. We decided to rest that day. The next day, when I needed some important item, I took it on foot to a search for shop, then came to know that there were many good hotels nearby, where the auto drivers did not take me. And also realized that railway station was very close to my hotel? Now I realized that the auto guys have done some scam or cheated me. When the hotel fare of the same hotel was checked online, it was found that four hundred bucks were overcharged for each room. Thus, auto guys looted us with Rs 800 per day that were over charged for paying commission to the auto guys. So, whenever you go on a trip, give priority to booking hotels online. And be sure to check the area around the station. This is the meaning of this article so that you come to know about the scam and become alert.
