(A tribute to Shaheed Bhagat Singh and his brave comrades Rajguru and Sukhdev)
-Rachit Bhavsar
Time stops when my mind rewinds,
The chapters of the colonial rule,
When the morning sun rose in the dark,
Of slavery, hatred and injustice.
O my great nation!.Are you not reminded of those dark times?
When imperialism tied you with its chains,
And colonialism pierced you with its mighty sword?
When a nation slept in the dark,
They challenged an empire's might,
Kakori scam or Saunders death,
India's freedom their sole birthright.
Be it blazing sound of an empire guns,
Or the painful wound of a jailor's whip,
Neither could obstruct their resolve sky high,
To see a vibrant nation taking its strides.
Inquilab Zindabad from their divine lips,
Rattled an empire down touching my nation's feet,
They went to the gallows for the sun to rise,
To let millions breathe the air of independence forever.
