The disturbing incident took place in Kubri village, where the accused, allegedly in a drunken state, committed the deplorable act against Dasmat Ravat, a resident of Karaundi village.

The victim's wife, while speaking to news agency ANI, expressed her belief in the legal system, stating, "If something wrong has been done, what has to happen will happen. There should be punishment if something wrong was done."

When questioned about the accused's political affiliation, Chouhan emphasized that criminals have no caste, religion, or party, and that the law would take its course. Nath questioned whether the intoxication of power had dehumanized the leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that such incidents insulted tribal heroes like Tantya Mama and Birsa Munda, as well as millions of tribal brothers and sisters in Madhya Pradesh.
