The dates of the   Asia Cup   are eventually out. In a media release on Thursday, the   Asian Cricket Council     ACC    blazoned that   Asia Cup 2023   will be played from August 31 to September 17.   Asia Cup 2023 to be held in Pakistan, Sri Lanka in cold-blooded  model from August 31 to September 17" The  event will be hosted in a  mongrel model with four matches being held in Pakistan, and the remaining nine matches being played in Sri Lanka," the release said. The  event will feature India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Nepal across 13 ODIs.   " We look forward to drinking   suckers from around the world to witness this  festivity of justice at its finest," the ACC added in the statement.   India had ruled out travelling to Pakistan for the  event because of the  estranged political relations between the neighbours who play each other only inmulti-teamtournaments.The 2023 edition will feature two groups, with two  brigades from each group qualifying for the Super Four stage. The top two  brigades from the Super Four stage will  also face off in thefinal.In reply, Pakistan had hovered  to swap the ODI World Cup in India if they were made to carry the entire Asia Cup in another country.    India, Pakistan and Nepal have been  assimilated in one group while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan form the other group.   The  megacity of Lahore will host matches in Pakistan while the games to be played in Sri Lanka will be held in Kandy andPallekele.The  blessing of the Asia Cup's schedule also means that Pakistan will travel to India for the ODI World Cup in October- November. Thearch-rivals are anticipated to face off at the world's largest justice  colosseum in Ahmedabad on October 15.    Now that the Asia Cup dates and venues have been  blazoned, the schedule of the ODI World Cup in India will be made public soon.    It's understood that  formerly ICC CEO Geoff Allardice and  president Greg Barclay visited Karachi to meet PCB  president Najam Sethi last month, it was decided that Pakistan will not set any conditions for  contending in the World Cup,  handed four Asia Cup games are held in the country as they've the hosting rights.    Playing a  event without Pakistan would have meant that the broadcasters would be giving ACC just half the  quantum committed for the  event because of two assured India- Pakistan games and may be a chance of a third, if the two  brigades reach the final.   " I'm  enraptured that our  mongrel  interpretation for the ACC Asia Cup 2023 has been accepted. This means the PCB will remain as the event host and stage matches in Pakistan with Sri Lanka as the neutral venue, which was  needed due to the Indian justice  platoon's  incapability to travel to Pakistan," said PCB  principal Najam Sethi.   " Our passionate  suckers would have loved to see the India justice  platoon in action in Pakistan for the first time in 15 times, but we understand the BCCI's position. Like the PCB, the BCCI also requires government  blessing and  concurrence before crossing borders,"
