The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, a quadrennial One Day International( ODI) justice event queried by men's public brigades and organised by the International Cricket Council( ICC). It's listed to be hosted by India in October and November 2023. The event will be queried by 10 brigades; England are the defending titleholders, having won the former edition in 2019. It'll be the first men's Cricket World Cup to be hosted solely by India, after having preliminarilyco-hosted the 1987, 1996, and 2011 events. This will be the last time the event will be conforming only 10 brigades; there will be an increase from 10 to 14 brigades from the coming edition onwards. Firstly, the event was listed to be played from 9 February to 26 March 2023; but in July 2020 it was blazoned that the event would be delayed to an October – November window( with the final provisionally listed for 26 November 2023), following the dislocation of the qualification schedule due to the COVID- 19 epidemic. In March 2023, ESPNcricinfo reported that the event was anticipated to be played from 5 October to 19 November, but as of June 2023 the ICC has not yet released the institutions. The Pakistan Cricket Board( PCB) had hovered to swap the World Cup after the BCCI refused to shoot its platoon to the 2023 Asia Cup listed in Pakistan. still, in March 2023 a resolution wasbrokered.However, PCB president Najam Sethi expressed his reluctance to play any group league matches at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad except the knockout matches, subject to concurrence from the government of Pakistan. He also wished to have all their matches played in Bengaluru, Chennai or Kolkata.
