SEVENTEEN's leader and rapper, S.Coups, whose real name is Choi Seung Cheol, has been discharged from the hospital after a successful knee surgery. The artist sustained a knee injury earlier in August during a content shoot, leading to concerns among fans. His agency, PLEDIS Entertainment, recently provided an update on his health and recovery.
On August 10, S.Coups suffered a tear to his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and anterolateral ligament in his left knee during the shoot. After receiving necessary pre-surgery medical treatment and consultations with medical experts, he underwent surgery to restore the damaged ligaments on August 21. Fortunately, the surgery was deemed successful, and S.Coups was discharged from the hospital on August 24. Since then, he has been resting and focusing on his recovery.
As part of his recovery process, S.Coups will be using crutches and a wheelchair. PLEDIS Entertainment emphasized that his top priority is recuperation and rehabilitation, in accordance with recommendations from the medical team. Once the surgical area is fully healed, he will commence physical therapy to ensure a full and healthy recovery. The agency also mentioned that S.Coups intends to return to his activities with flexibility and reasonable limits once his stable recovery is confirmed.
The news of S.Coups' injury had raised concerns about his participation in SEVENTEEN's upcoming October comeback. Unfortunately, due to the injury, he won't be able to take part in the comeback activities. However, fans can take solace in the fact that his health and recovery are being given utmost importance.
S.Coups is not the only member of SEVENTEEN who has faced health-related challenges recently. Earlier, Seungkwan had to take a brief hiatus due to health issues. The well-being of the group's members remains a top priority for both the agency and fans alike.
SEVENTEEN, a 13-member South Korean boy group, consists of talented individuals including S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The group has gained immense popularity both domestically and internationally for their music, choreography, and engaging performances.
