Section 144 has been imposed till January 18, 2024, prohibiting the gathering of four or more people in public places. Delhi: The capital city will also be under the watchful eye of Section 144 from December 31st to January 1st. Large gatherings in Connaught Place, Hauz Khas Village, and other popular spots will be restricted, and strict vigil will be maintained to curb drunk driving.
Bengaluru: The IT hub of India has imposed Section 144 in specific areas like Brigade Road and MG Road from December 31st midnight to January 1st, 6:00 AM. Pubs and restaurants will have to close by 1:00 AM, and loud music will be prohibited in public spaces.
