All of us have heard this wonderful sweet story of the Hare and the Tortoise.

Let me retell it again in short.

In a jungle, there lived a hare and a tortoise.

The hare was proud of its ability to run or hop fast.

The tortoise could only walk very slowly.

This did not stop the tortoise though from accepting the hare's challenge.

When the hare and the tortoise finally had a race, the tortoise won.

We were told that the moral of the story is - slow and steady wins the race.

Is that all, though?

I found the story to be very intruiging, and there is so much to learn and implement.

It is easy to set goals, but to achieve them is a different story.

How many of us are familiar with incomplete new year resolutions?

The race is not a straight road for us. It is full of hurdles. Obstacles that we need to overcome.

It drains out our energy, and very often we give up on the goal completely.

Soon we find ourselves trapped in the endless cycle of guilt, setting new goals, beating ourselves over unaccomplished goals, and guilt again.

If this seems familiar, then the humble tortoise has much to teach us.

So read on and experience liberty from self doubts, fear, excuses, overthinking and procrastination.

This is nice, but I don't have time now. Maybe later. I am not ready now. Maybe later. This is not the right time. I have so many responsibilities now. I will, once I have fulfilled them. So later.

The thing we fear the most - what would others say about me? We are programmed to give a lot of attention to what others think about us, than what we say about ourselves. In fact, we rarely dare to h

Our dear little tortoise wasn't bothered about his win. He probably knew he had a very less or negligible chance of winning. But that did not stop him from trying. Giving his best mattered. So often
