The author has done an excellent job of portraying the emotional turmoil that Samar goes through. The book is filled with heart-touching moments that will leave the readers teary-eyed. The characters are well-developed and relatable, making it easy for the readers to connect with them. Overall, Her Last Wish is a beautifully written book that will tug at your heartstrings. It is a story of love, sacrifice and the power of family bonds. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading emotional and thought-provoking stories.

Such a great book with a really good story. The characters in the book are also really amazing and interesting. In the form of a wife, a vibrant individual who brought happiness wherever she went, a glimmer of optimism entered his life. Though everything is going according to plan, night is just around the corner. When he learns that she only has a limited time left, he decides to fight against all odd including his family, if necessary to aid her in overcoming her medical condition. Helping them is how his father sees himself getting atonement; he is aware that his son will only triumph if he fights with and for her. Such an heart touching concept.

Ajay K. Pandey returns with another heart-wrenching love story following his immensely successful debut, "You are the Best Wife." His second book lives up to expectations, captivating readers and immersing them in the life of the protagonist and narrator, Vijay. As Vijay learns about his wife's illness, he becomes determined to do whatever it takes to ensure she receives the best medical care available. Vijay is considered a "super failure" by society's standards, having attempted numerous entrance exams and barely passing just one. With his mother's help, who has connections in the journalism field, he secures a job as an assistant professor at a college. Another challenge arises when Vijay must find a suitable bride. His matrimonial profile is embellished with exaggerated details, and unsurprisingly, every woman he meets either rejects him or is uninterested. Enter Astha, a vibrant woman who is completely different from Vijay in every way. Unexpectedly, she agrees to the match, and gradually, Vijay falls deeply in love with her. Just when he finally finds happiness in his life, fate deals him another blow as Astha tests positive for HIV. The core of the novel revolves around the lengths Vijay is willing to go to ensure Astha's survival. Throughout his journey, other significant characters such as his family and Astha's ex-boyfriend play crucial roles in shaping the narrative.

Ajay K. Pandey's "Her Last Wish" is a heartwarming and emotionally charged tale of love, family, and the power of selfless sacrifice. Published in 2016, this novel takes readers on a poignant journey through the life of Aryan, a young man whose world is transformed when he reconnects with his estranged mother, Devi, who is terminally ill. The story unfolds as Devi's health rapidly deteriorates, and she reveals her last wish to Aryan—to reunite her broken family. Through a series of flashbacks, readers are taken back to the past, witnessing the trials and tribulations that led to the fractured relationships within the family. As Aryan embarks on a journey to fulfill his mother's last wish, he confronts his own emotions, grapples with forgiveness, and strives to mend the bonds that have long been strained. Pandey skillfully explores themes of love, redemption, and the complexities of familial relationships. The narrative is imbued with a sense of longing and introspection as Aryan reflects on the choices that shaped his life and the impact of his mother's illness on his perception of love and family. Through Devi's character, the novel also highlights the power of a mother's love, the sacrifices she makes, and her unwavering belief in the strength of family ties. The characters in "Her Last Wish" are relatable and well-developed, with their flaws and vulnerabilities adding depth to the narrative. Aryan's journey of self-discovery and growth is the backbone of the story, and readers will find themselves rooting for him as he navigates the complexities of love and forgiveness. The supporting characters, including Devi's husband and Aryan's sister, bring their own struggles and perspectives to the narrative, enriching the story and adding layers of emotional depth. Pandey's writing style is simple and accessible, making the story easy to follow. He imbues the narrative with heartfelt emotions, allowing readers to connect with the characters on a deeply personal level. While the prose may lack the finesse and literary flourishes found in more complex works, it successfully evokes genuine sentiment and captures the essence of the characters' experiences. The novel does rely on some familiar tropes and predictable plot developments, which may be off-putting for readers seeking a more unconventional narrative. Additionally, some readers may find certain aspects of the story overly sentimental. However, these elements do not diminish the overall impact of the novel, as it successfully elicits an emotional response and prompts reflection on the importance of love and forgiveness. In conclusion, "Her Last Wish" is a touching and heartfelt novel that explores the power of love, forgiveness, and family bonds. Ajay K. Pandey's storytelling skillfully captures the essence of human emotions and showcases the transformative power of selflessness and compassion. While the narrative may follow familiar tropes, the genuine emotions and relatable characters make this a memorable and moving read. It is a book that reminds us of the value of love, the importance of familial connections, and the ability to find redemption in the face of adversity.
