Congress candidate and Rajasthan's Deputy CM TS Singh Deo is lagging behind in Ambikapur from BJP's Rajesh Agrawal. He is leading by a margin of 7,636 votes after the 10th round of counting, garnering a total of 49,862 votes so far.
As BJP is set to return to power in Madhya Pradesh, senior Congress leader, Kamal Nath said that he has accepted the party's defeat in MP.
"I congratulate BJP and hope that they will live up to the support people have given them," said the senior Congress leader at a press conference on Sunday.
On BJP's remarkable victory in Rajasthan, CM Ashok Gehlot, on Sunday, said that the party did not leave any stone unturned and was fully prepared for the electins.
"We thought people would vote for us based on our current schemes but that did not happen. We will analyse this. I thought people would take revenge from PM Modi and HM Amit Shah but I think the public could not understand this," he said.
After BJP's thumping victory in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “We humbly accept the mandate of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan - the battle of ideology will continue."

In a shocking incident, BJP candidate from Kamareddy, Katipally Venkata Ramana Reddy defeated incumbent CM K Chandrashekar Rao and State Congress chief Revanth Reddy by a margin of 6,741, garnering a total of 66,652 votes.
BJP's Katipally Venkata defeated Telangana's incumbent CM KCR and a possible candidate for next CM, Revanth Reddy from Ramareddy constituency in Telangana on Sunday. After defeating them, he said that he took them them as normal candidates.
"People have supported me a lot and this is the reason I won from here. I have become the MLA from Kamareddy. I want to say that I am not just the MLA of 65,000 voters, but I am the MLA of 4 lakh people," he said.
