In a letter to the people of Madhya Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his confidence that they would continue to support him and the BJP in the state's impending assembly elections.
"Madhya Pradesh and I share a unique tie, which is why the state's citizens gave me extraordinary support during the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. In the letter, the prime minister expresses his confidence that the people of Madhya Pradesh will support him in the next assembly elections and assist in the establishment of a two-engine administration in the state.
"Madhya Pradesh's future has been secured by the Centre and the BJP-led state government since 2014."
The state has made it onto the list of the top 10 economies because to your 20 years of support for the BJP. The letter continues, "And Madhya Pradesh is poised to join the exclusive group of the top three state economies today."
"The past 20 years have been a tale of your faith in us as much as the advancement of the state.
Formerly one of the "BIMARU" states, Madhya Pradesh is now a strong, affluent, and autonomous nation. When it comes to women's empowerment and the welfare of the impoverished, Madhva Pradesh's development model has emerged as a national model," the PM adds.
The Congress, which intends to benefit from the state's anti-incumbency movement against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan administration, presents a formidable challenge to the BJP. With the exception of a brief 15-month period following the 2018 assembly elections, during which the Congress formed a government led by Kamal Nath, the BJP has ruled the state for over 20 years.
The Congress administration, however, did not last long because Jyotiraditya Scindia and his MLAs overthrew the powerful party and eventually joined the BJP to restore the saffron party to power in the state.
As part of its plan, the BJP has already declared about 150 candidates for the polls and fielded multiple MPs in the state elections.
