About Richa Lakhera
Richa Lakhera is an Indian journalist and crime writer and Author of four books including Hungry Gods (Rupa Publications), Garbage Beat (Harper Collins), Item Girl (Rupa Publications).
Her 3rd book, Hungry Gods published by Rupa Publications is being adapted into screen production by prominent Bollywood film-maker and producer Sanjay Gupta of White Feather Films. Hungry Gods has also been shortlisted in the top 100 crime thriller novels at Amazon.
Masters in Inorganic Chemistry from Miranda House (Delhi University) and Winner of Excellence in Journalism by Indian Council for UN Relations (ICUNR) Richa has worked for over a decade as Deputy Editor at NDTV (New Delhi Television Ltd). She has extensively covered news and trends in the Arts, Cinema and Fashion for over a decade as Special Correspondent at NDTV.
Born in Dehradun Richa Lakhera is daughter of noted Economist and Scholar, Mohan L Lakhera former Economic Advisor to the Government of India whose notable books in the field of economics have been published by Palgrave Macmillan including Economic Growth in Developing Countries and Japanese FDI flows in Asia. Richa lives in Bombay with her husband and daughter.
