India is the only country which is painted in the colours of the beautiful festivals. in India we have festival to celebrate for every reason.
The festival season start from the August and continuous till the end of the year. In the festival season, a new spirit fills inside everyone. The chanting of mantras and slokas bring positivity in the environment. The environment becomes magically majestic.
I have grown up celebrating all these beautiful festivals. But my favourite festival is Ganesh chaturthi also known as Vinayaka chaturthi. It is celebrated to mark the birthday of God Ganesha.
It is a10 days festival.People bring idols of Ganesh ji at their home and worship them hoping that Ganesh ji will bless them with prosperity and wisdom.
It is believed that during Ganesh Chaturthi lord Ganesha visits Earth and shower his blessings over his devotees. On the last day the idol of Ganesh ji is immersed in the water, and it is believed that he returns back to the Kailash, his home to his Father Shiv ji and mother Parvati ma. It is believed that God Ganesha takes away all the miseries and obstacles of his devotees and bless them with the new beginning in life.
