World Laughter Day was established in 1998 and the first celebration was organized by Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement, on 10 May 1998 in Mumbai, India. This day is now celebrated across the world on the first Sunday of May.

International Press Freedom Day is celebrated every year on 3 May. In the year 1991, UNESCO and the 'Department of Public Information' of the United Nations had jointly decided to celebrate it. Due to thrombocytopenia syndrome, blood clots start forming in the body or platelets start falling rapidly in the body. The risk of brain stroke can also increase due to blood clot in the body.

PMLA act is a criminal law enacted to prevent money laundering and to provide for confiscation of property derived from, or involved in, money-laundering and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) or verifiable paper record (VPR) is a method of providing feedback to voters using a ballotless voting system. A VVPAT is intended as an independent verification system for voting machines designed to allow voters to verify that their vote was cast correctly, to detect possible election fraud or malfunction, and to provide a means to audit the stored electronic results. It contains the name of the candidate (for whom vote has been cast) and symbol of the party/individual candidate. Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines are used during election process to verify that the vote polled by a voter goes to the correct candidate.

  Mukhtar Ansari was a politician from Uttar Pradesh. Ansari was elected MLA from Mau constituency a record five times as a member of the Legislative Assembly. He was the main accused in the Krishnanand Rai murder case along with other crimes. Ansari won his first assembly election as a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate, and the next two as an independent. In 2007, Ansari joined the BSP and contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election but unsuccessfully.After which BSP expelled him from the party in 2010 due to criminal activities, later he formed his own party Qaumi Ekta Dal with his brothers. He was elected MLA from Mau seat in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2012. Merged Qaumi Ekta Dal with BSP in 2017, and won as MLA for the fifth time in the assembly elections as a BSP candidate. He died of heart failure on 28 March 2024.

March 23 is remembered and celebrated as Martyrs' Day in India. On this day in 1931, three brave freedom fighters: Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar were hanged by the British.
