The Paris Olympics 2024 is scheduled to take place in France from 26 July to 11 August 2024. After winning the record medal in Tokyo Olympics 2021, now the Indian government has also started preparations for Paris Olympics 2024. Under this, the Sports Ministry has included 7 veteran international athletes in its Team Mission Olympic Cell, under whose guidance new champions will be prepared.

Voter verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) or verifiable paper record (VPR) is a method of providing feedback to voters using a ballotless voting system. A VVPAT is intended as an independent verification system for voting machines designed to allow voters to verify that their vote was cast correctly, to detect possible election fraud or malfunction, and to provide a means to audit the stored electronic results. It contains the name of the candidate (for whom vote has been cast) and symbol of the party/individual candidate. Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) machines are used during election process to verify that the vote polled by a voter goes to the correct candidate.

  Mukhtar Ansari was a politician from Uttar Pradesh. Ansari was elected MLA from Mau constituency a record five times as a member of the Legislative Assembly. He was the main accused in the Krishnanand Rai murder case along with other crimes. Ansari won his first assembly election as a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate, and the next two as an independent. In 2007, Ansari joined the BSP and contested the 2009 Lok Sabha election but unsuccessfully.After which BSP expelled him from the party in 2010 due to criminal activities, later he formed his own party Qaumi Ekta Dal with his brothers. He was elected MLA from Mau seat in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2012. Merged Qaumi Ekta Dal with BSP in 2017, and won as MLA for the fifth time in the assembly elections as a BSP candidate. He died of heart failure on 28 March 2024.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today presented Union Budget 2024 in Parliament. This was an interim budget as it came just ahead of the Lok Sabha Elections. No changes were announced in the tax slabs in both old and new regime.  This is Nirmala Sitharaman's sixth Union Budget. The full-fledged budget will be presented by the new government that comes to power after the elections.
