Blue Origin launched its eighth suborbital tourist mission, NS-26, from its space port in West Texas on August 29, 2024.Before, space exploration was only allowed to be used for official and scientific purposes.

Space tourism entails allowing individuals to use space for commercial and leisure purposes. Many thanks to SpaceX, Blue Origin, Virgin Galactic, and other private players for their contributions. While space tourists can experience the view of earth from space, they are generally not required to be trained astronauts.

In 2001, American engineer Dennis Tito spent eight days on the International Space Station, marking the beginning of space tourism. Major achievements like development of reusable rocket technologies such as Falcon and Starship by Space X, led by Elon Musk, has significantly lowered the price of space travel and increased the potential of space tourism.

There are numerous obstacles at the same time.carbon emissions from rocket launches contribute to air pollution.Another important concern is safety. There is a significant danger associated with safety issues that could arise from mechanical failure or cosmic radiation exposure. Not to mention, space travel is now only available to the wealthy. Both orbital and suborbital trips come at a cost of several million dollars. If these obstacles be surmounted, space tourism could have enormous promise in the future, along with novel ideas like space hotels, lunar bases, and the emergence of multiplanetary life.
