“Here are the monsoon days, I known many of them including me likes monsoon especially like travelling to a hill station or doing trek or any sports. Some of them like to sit in the veranda having those cool breeze with few droplets of water splashing on your face and you are having a sweet and hot coffee/tea and this is obvious that its monsoon season and didn’t have pakodas they are the main snack in India those yummy pakodas filled with love of your mothers or sister or your wife sometimes there are many men also who cooks for their family”.
“I’m also a monsoon lover, I use to go for a trek with my father he is a sports person but according to his age now he won’t be able to do trek so I joined a fitness camp who are taking us to a trek. That trek was very amazing, it was a very big group we went to the bhimashankar trek. The dense forests surrounding the high ranges are an abode for rare species of flora and fauna. So, basically it was a forest and wildlife sanctuary. The climate was very nice there was a temple bhimashankar temple. According to the people who were staying there they told us that the temple was 1200-1400 years old and is built on the hemad panthi style. The trek to it being Shiva’s abode and one of the 12 swayambhu jyotirling’s helps to increase the attractiveness of bhimashankar as a religious tourism destination. There were very beautiful sculptures and paintings on the roof and pillars of the temple. At the front of the temple hangs a huge metal bell cast in 1729. There was also a 15-20 feet high “deepmala” or lamppost in the outer corridor of the temple. There was also an inscription on stone on this lamppost. The original name of the river chandrabhaga at pandharpur is Bhīma. This Bhīma River originates at bhimashankar. This was the information which our guide was giving us when we reached the temple”.
“My trip started by morning 6:10. We moved in bus all the group members and our instructor were also there in the bus. We halted in between for breakfast I didn’t ate anything just a chicken sandwich which one aunty gave me and then we came down for doing washroom because there will be no toilets further while trekking. We took some chikkis also as my mom loves a lot. Then we all came back in the bus and then we reached our destination by 9:00. We all were very excited we took a group picture and then by 9:30 we started the trek. We were told to decend from were ever you are by 2. So, we started climbing very fast our instructor directed us the way we all climbed up without wasting a single seconds we reached to a Ganesh temple. We did some prayers there and then we started climbing up as we all have to decend by 2 and we don’t want to miss the chance of darshan so after few mins of rest we started climbing. In between there were many stalls of like nimbu paani, Maggie, corn and most important tea. We walked some far at the entrance of the jungle there was a tent so we did some rest some group members had some tea there. There a dog was there so when we were having biscuit’s he came to us asking for food. I gave him some biscuit’s but he was asking for more food so I gave him half packet of biscuits he ate it and then he went. We moved further more ahead I was with one aunty she was a bit old and was having some issues in her pelvic bone so I was helping her to climb up on those big rocks and to cross the waterfalls. We all made a chain and crossed it. We met a person who was continuously saying 15 mins is left we got so tired of climbing. We reached at a certain point where we all thought to take a break but there was a honeybee comb so we all ran up because it was very dangerous. Then after that we climbed a lot there were very high steeped places any how we managed to cross it. We walked and walked that guy said only 10 min more so we got some hope that finally we all are going to reach the top but still it was far enough. We came to a certain point and saw there was a fence that means we reached the top but the temple was a bit down and opposite to the side we climbed. we went to the top we saw some people were coming from that side we asked them how much time will it take us to reach the temple they said it’s not too far so we started walked by the way they came and finally we reached the temple by 2:10. We went inside there were steps we came down by stairs. We did darshan took Prasad and had some food which we carried. Then we started to decend by 3:33 approx. we reached the small Ganesh temple by 7:10. Then by 7:30/7:40 we got to the bus. We changed our clothes in the bus and then we came back to the studio by 10:55 and I reached home by 11:00. I was very tired I had my dinner unpacked my bag and went for a sleep. The trip was very wonderful trekking experience, physical and mental strength to test. Our instructor had organized so well I really appreciate it. article-imagearticle-imagearticle-image
