About Karan Kharab

Karan Kharb was born in Mundhela Kalan - a dusty village in outer Delhi at a time when his father was jailed for leading Jatthas during the Freedom Movement in 1946. He grew up under the influence of nationalist leaders and social reformers who were regular visitors to the Kharb family. He was so obsessed with the desire for learning Vedic and Yogic sciences that he ran away from home to be an ascetic as early as a teenager but only to be persuaded to return home after a brief spell of ascetic life. In 1963 when his friends were seeking admission in colleges, Karan Kharb was charged with angst to avenge the Chinese aggression of 1962. So yet again, he ran away to join the Army where he grew up from Sepoy to Battalion Commander participating in all the wars and counter insurgency/counter terrorist operations since then. He also served in India’s elite Special Forces where he led a number of Special Commando missions successfully. His contemporaries remember him as a maverick in thought and action. His nationalistic passion and his out-of-the-box thinking are evident in his writings. Besides hundreds of his essays and articles published in various journals and magazines, he has authored three bestselling books – Made to Lead (2003), Lead to Succeed (2005) and Crime Academy (2016). Widely travelled and favourite of many in the intelligentsia and institutions, he is actively associated with a number of think tanks and NGOs.ज़्यादा पढ़ेंकम पढ़ें
