Women's cricket was also included for the first time in the Commonwealth Games 2022 and the Indian women's team is also participating in this event. Apart from India, 7 other teams are participating in this event and these 8 teams are divided into two groups. India, Australia, Barbados and Pakistan are in Group A, while Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand and South Africa are in Group B. These eight teams will face each other for the medal and the cricket matches in this event will start from July 29. All matches will be played in T20I format.
India-Pakistan will face on July 31
The Indian team has to play three matches in the group stage and the first match is to be played by the Indian team against Australia on July 29. At the same time, the Indian team has to play against Pakistan on July 31, which will be the second match of the Indian team. After this, the Indian women's team has to play the last match of the group stage against Barbados on August 3. All teams will play matches against three other teams in their respective groups followed by semi-final matches. At the end, matches will be played for the Gold and Bronze medals. The Commonwealth Games will be held this time in Birmingham, England and will start on 28 July.
