An Ex- I.A.S. officer from Hindi heartland have taken VRS to pursue his passion for writingAn anthropologist by nature, Rakesh believes that any book should allow human beings to advance. He writes stories that can be held up like mirrors in which we can see ourselves as human beings clearly, and come to an understanding of many of the things that make us human. He has been contributing to various newspapers. Apart from his passion for writing novels, he also writes Shayari under the pen name “Rahi”. Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP released his book in braille format and an audiobook on World Disability Day 3, December 2016. Dr Rakesh Varma has served in various capacities in the State government UP and Central Government. He is an alumnus of Lucknow University having done B.Sc., M.A. (Anthropology), M.B.A and P.hD in Urban Governance. He has also done Masters in Public Policy from L.K.Y School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
