Hari Talika Teej is a Hindu festival primarily celebrated by women, particularly in the Indian states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, as well as in Nepal. It is observed to honor the reunion of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Women celebrate by fasting, dressing in traditional attire, applying mehndi (henna), and performing rituals to seek marital bliss, the well-being of their spouse, and prosperity in their families.  The festival usually falls on the third day of the waxing moon (Shukla Paksha) in the month of Bhadrapada (August-September). The rituals involve prayers and offerings to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, with some women observing a nirjala fast (without water) as a sign of devotion. Songs, dances, and swings are also a part of the festive atmosphere.   It is considered a very auspicious day for women, reflecting their devotion and strength.

In some countries of the world, Teacher's Day is organized to give special honor to teachers. There is a holiday in some countries while some countries celebrate this day while working. The birthday of former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as Teachers' Day in India.
