I learned that although the dynamics of animal flight have only recently been understood, avian flight has fascinated man since the dawn of civilization. To better understand how birds take off, land, and hover, the evolution of animal flight, a description of the structure and musculature of wings and feathers, and a basic explanation of lift and drag have all been provided. Loved reading it and is a must read for every bird and book lover.
